When your water might kill you - The Stockholm Water Front Magazine

In the informal settlements of Kisumu, Kenya, lack of safe water and sanitation is a constant worry. Research shows that water here, when available, is heavily contaminated and unsafe, but residents don’t feel listened to. “It is a tragedy that the national and county governments can neglect its people and let them die from diseases that can easily be prevented by supplying clean water and good sewage management system,” says local resident Alphonce Odhiambo.
